Come as you are to our community-focused family church.
We aim to be friendly and approachable, with easily accessible services. Some of us will be on hand to welcome you before the beginning of each service.
Our Sunday morning service begins at 10:45am, usually finishing around 12.00pm, our services are also live-streamed each week on our YouTube channel.

Enabling children to know God and grow in their relationship with Him is what we aim to do. For every age to know God loves them, to love Him and love others is at the heart of what we’re about.
We seek to create a place where children know that they belong. As well as our Sunday programme, we also have specific all-age services and events throughout the year. To provide a place for all ages to learn, pray, praise and play together.

After the Sunday Morning Service
Following the service there is time to enjoy tea and coffee along with juice and biscuits, but we hope you will come away spiritually refreshed, too!
Giving: We have two collection points in the church which are used to gather offerings. These go towards the ongoing work that the church carries out and our support of other charities. Many regular attendees give monthly donations by direct debit, find out more on our giving page. Please give as freely as you feel able.
Membership: Lerwick Baptist Church is open to any person publicly declaring a personal faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, followed by immersion baptism. Contact us to find out more.

Sunday Evenings
In 2024 we are developing a new vision for our Sunday evenings, focused on meeting together to pray and learn – developing our community and enabling us to encourage and equip each other.
1st Sunday of the Month – Church Prayer time held in the Church at 6pm
3rd Sunday of the Month – Church Service held in the Church at 6pm; There will also be a prayer meeting held in the Side Hall from 5.15pm – 5.45pm prior to the evening service.
2nd, 4th (& occasional 5th) Sundays of the month, there will be a Church Prayer meeting held on Zoom at 6.30pm.
You are warmly invited to join together every week as above for prayer. If you don’t already receive the link for the prayer meetings held on Zoom, please contact us.
Sunday Morning Service
The Sunday morning service is when the whole church gathers to worship, pray and learn together.
Our services are relaxed where everyone is welcome. There will usually be some songs and prayer as well as a family friendly spot for any children in the service before they go out to their separate groups. This is followed by someone sharing a message. Every two weeks we take part in communion, if you are a follower of Jesus you can join with us freely. If not simply pass the elements on to the next person.
